Answers about Docshape accounts, privacy, and payments. This is not medical advice.
What personal information does Docshape collect?
From Subscribers: name, email, phone, practice and Docshape billing data. From patients on a clinic site hosted by Docshape: what that clinic's form and chart require (typically name, phone, visit details, later clinical notes entered by the clinic).
Does Docshape collect mailing addresses?
Only if a form asks for them. Docshape does not run a medicine-delivery or home-sample business.
When does Docshape collect it?
Docshape registration, booking, charting, payment, and support.
How secure is it?
Stored in Docshape's hosted database with restricted staff access. Docshape subscription card data is handled by the payment provider. See the Docshape Privacy Policy (Security).
Does Docshape store credit cards?
Docshape does not store full card numbers. The payment provider tokenises them.
Is payment secure?
Docshape checkout uses the provider's hosted, encrypted flow. No payment method is risk-free.
Does Docshape show ads?
Not as part of the current Docshape product. Docshape does not use patient data for advertising.
Does Docshape sell data?
No.
Can I get a refund if I cancel Docshape?
See the Docshape Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy. Default for software plans: cancel future renewals; the current period is not refunded.
Can a patient get a refund for a Global Consult online payment?
Yes, when the fee was paid through Docshape Global Consult checkout. Full refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before the slot, or if the doctor does not join (15-minute grace, request window until 2 hours after the start). Open Help & Support on the doctor's site first; if the doctor does not reply within 48 hours, Docshape operators review the case. Details: Refund Policy.
Is there a Docshape fee on patient consult payments?
Clinical-system / in-clinic fees paid on the spot are not charged through Docshape. Global Consult online video fees are collected and held via Docshape checkout; Docshape takes a commission and then sends the rest to the doctor. See Payment Terms.
Who do I contact about a wrong appointment?
The clinic whose Docshape site you booked. For Global Consult payment or no-show issues, use Help & Support on that site. Docshape cannot treat you or rebook as if Docshape were that practice.
Who do I contact about my Docshape bill?
